The mirror (2009)


• • It is quite interesting to see the alarming rate of tobacco consumption, despite the health hazards involved. It is also interesting to see the patterned way these consumed cigarettes sticks lie on different surfaces, especially the ground on which it was naturally dropped without any intention of the consumer to make a pattern with it. The pictures were actually taken in their normal and original state at that particular point in time.
• In some cases, it looks somehow harsh and hostile, digging deep and causing more harm even on the physical space we occupy. Therefore I see another angle of danger and destruction- not just on us as consumers, but also on the environment. Through these pictures, I see us heading into the dark and causing more darkness to ourselves
