I never thought or dreamt of practicing Photography. That day in school, I was called by one of my lecturers, he asked why I didn't submit entries for the Paris-Lagos photo exchange project which was an exchange between students from Yaba College of Technology,Lagos and students from The Fine Art school of Paris. I had no reasonable excuse, but one reasonable one was that I had no camera to work with. Maybe God spoke to him, he gave me his camera, with another friend of mine, and off we went to work...The passion came, it was work, work, work!

Now, I sleep, eat, and dream photography. Thanks to that lecturer of mine, thanks to great minds and mentors that I have also worked with over time- Emeka Okereke, Uche Okpa-Iroha,and Luzy Azubuike to mention but a few, they all have helped in my proffessional growth as an artist.
Now,I'm trying other ways to explore...

Second Phase
The “Paris-Lagos” Photo exchange project, which brought together students from the Fine Art School of Paris and a selected counterpart from the Yaba College of Arts had two phases: in 2008, the students from Paris visited Lagos and worked with the Nigerian counterparts, and in 2009, the Nigerian students visited Paris, November-December 2009.
'Priere Silence'
During this phase I tried to narrow down into abstracts, and also tried to identify myself within myself - my style of working.

The Mirror (The “Paris-Lagos” Photo exchange project 2009.)
It is quite interesting to see the alarming rate of tobacco consumption, despite the health hazards involved. It is also interesting to see the patterned way these consumed cigarettes sticks lie on different surfaces, especially the ground on which it was naturally dropped without any intention of the consumer to make a pattern with it. The pictures were actually taken in their normal and original state at that particular point in time.
('Headway')
In some cases, it looks somehow harsh and hostile, digging deep and causing more harm even on the physical space we occupy. Therefore I see another angle of danger and destruction- not just on us as consumers, but also on the environment. Through these pictures, I see us heading into the dark and causing more darkness to ourselves.
